Dolores Marie Insalaco (Makusiewicz) passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023.
Dolores was a kind, loving and wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She dedicated herself, unselfishly, to her husband and children.
Dolores saw the goodness in others and always gave much love, kindness, gratitude to everyone. She enjoyed celebrating family dinners and holidays. She will be remembered and missed dearly by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and many life-long friends.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Frances (Sczepanski) Makusiewicz; beloved husband, Michael L. Insalaco, nephews, Raymond, David, and Kevin Makusiewicz; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Concetta and Leonard Insalaco; sisters-in-law, Provie Katarsky and Marlene Insalaco; brothers-in-law, John Burke, Leonard Insalaco, and Leonard Dixon.
Dolores is survived by her three children, Karen, Diane, and Leonard Insalaco; grandchildren, Meghan McAliney and husband Caleb Wasabaugh; Eric Klepadlo and wife, Lucy Liao; Conor McAliney and wife Ellen and their son, Ian; Dana McGarry and husband Michael and her daughter, Sofia; brother, Raymond Makusiewicz and wife Lorraine; brothers-in-law, Sandy Insalaco and Vincent Insalaco and wife Corinne; sisters-in-law, Carmella Dixon, Theresa Burke, Grace Dvornicky and husband Joseph, and Lita Insalaco. She will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Private funeral services with a Mass of Christian Burial and interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery were held. Memorial donations may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 1309 W. Locust Street, Scranton, PA or to the Oblates of St. Joseph Seminary, 1880 Highway 315, Pittston, PA. Arrangements were entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
