Donald Fred Rusnak, Sr.

Donald Fred Rusnak, Sr., 81, of Pittston, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

Born in Nanticoke on February 7, 1941, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ann Dudeck Rusnak.


He was a graduate of Newport Township High School and Penn State University with an Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering. He served in the US Army, Penn Dot, and retired as a DPW Worker at Tobyhanna Army Depot.


Donald was a lifelong Penn State Football fan and enjoyed attending their games with friends and family. He also volunteered his time generously to the Pittston Little League as a coach and board member for many years.


He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Antoinette Falzone Rusnak; daughter, Candice Bukevicz, Pittston; son, Donald Rusnak Jr., daughter-in-law Tammy, Simi Valley, CA; grandchildren, Matthew, Alyssa, Jamie, and Francesca Bukevicz and Sarah Rusnak; a niece and a nephew.


The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday, February 20, 2022, from 4pm-7pm in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. Blessing Service will be Monday, February 21, 2022, at 10am in the funeral home. Interment, Pittston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 E Main St, Wilkes-Barre, are appreciated.

Such an amazing , caring, hardworking man. May you rest in peace. We were so sad to move, for we loved having you as our neighbor. Best neighbor we ever had!! I wish I could have given you a proper farewell. May you rest in peace 💖🙏 sending lots of love and prayers to you and our family.
