Donna Bojarcik Salerno

Donna Bojarcik Salerno, 59, of West Pittston, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021.


Born in Kingston on February 3, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mildred Lukachko Bojarcik.

Donna was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and Pittston Hospital School of Nursing. She had worked as a Registered Nurse at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes Barre.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Salerno in March 2021; and a brother, Richard Bojarcik.


Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Ralph Salerno; daughters, Jennifer Salerno, West Pittston and Melissa Salerno, Swoyersville; granddaughter, Jemma; brother Ronald Bojarcik and his wife Julia; Swoyersville; niece, Diane Bojarcik.


The family would like to thank the staff at Allied Services, Meade St for their care.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 11:30am in Corpus Christi Parish, 605 Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church. Interment, West Pittston cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.

I worked with Donna at the VA! She was not only a great nurse but a wonderful person…. Rest In Peace Donna .. together again with Jimmy … my condolences to the family …
