Donna Riccetti Gianacopoulos

Donna Riccetti Gianacopoulos, 65, of West Pittston passed away unexpectedly at home.

Born in Pittston she was the daughter of Eugene Riccetti and Rose Mary Gambino Riccetti.

Donna was a graduate of Pittston Area High School. She was employed by the Pittston Area School District as a teaching assistant.

Those at Pittston Area School District lovingly referred to her as 'Dr. G.' Donna’s infectious laugh, great sense of humor, and vivacious energy were always a cure for those who had the honor of knowing her. She was a supporter of those who needed her, a caring friend to many and a fiercely loving mother, sister and aunt. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and the entire Pittston Area community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Cathy Riccetti.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Ariana Gianacopoulos, NC. and Tatiana Gianacopoulos, NJ. Also surviving, sister, Karen Musto and her husband Ray, Hughestown and niece, Carly, great nieces, Hannah and Hazel, nephews, Ray, and Nick, and numerous cousins and friends. 

The family will receive friends and relatives Friday September 6, 2024 from 4-7pm at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC 251 William Street Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday September 7, 2024 at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston, those wishing to attend are asked to go directly to the church.  Private interment, Denison Cemetery.
