Dorothy A. Rossi, 84, of Yatesville, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021.
Born in Scranton on July 7, 1936, she was the daughter of the late George and Jean Szapla Llewelyn.
She was a graduate of West Scranton High School. She had worked for RCA in Mountaintop and retired from Leslie Faye.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be truly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony L. Rossi in 2006; sisters, Catherine Tarantini, Veronica Murnane, and Marilyn Zarra.
Surviving are her sons, Anthony Rossi and his wife Susan, Lincoln University, PA and Joseph Rossi and his wife Kristina, Exeter Township; grandchildren, Joey and his wife Kristen; Ryan; Andrew; and Christopher; great-grandson Bryson; numerous nieces
and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Villages At Greenbriar, Dallas for the exceptional care provided to Dorothy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston and interment in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
