Esther Marie Chiavacci, 90, of Hughestown, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023 in Allied Services Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Duryea on April 16, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Brysacz Pliska.
Esther was a graduate of Duryea High School and Wilkes-Barre Business School. In her earlier years, she had worked at the Pittston Apparel and Party Time Manufacturing Co. She loved to garden and spend time with her beloved granddog, Luigi. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruno A. Chiavacci and sister Eleanor Ross.
Surviving are her daughters, Sandra Chiavacci Labashosky, Kingston, and Lisa Chiavacci, Hughestown; grandchildren Sara Labashosky, Amy Labashosky Robertson and her husband, Abe Robertson, Kelli Labashosky and her significant other, Jonathan Vamadeva, and Matthew Labashosky; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 9:30am in Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish, 535 N. Main Street, Pittston. Interment will follow in West Pittston Cemetery.
