George F. Dailey, 78, formerly of Dallas, PA passed away on Sunday, May 24th in Charlottesville, VA with family nearby.


George was the son of George B. Dailey and Olga Hobbak. He attended Holy Name Elementary School and Central Catholic High School. He received a BA in Business from the University of Memphis.


George worked for Ford Motor Company in New Jersey. Returning to the Wyoming Valley, he worked for Delta Oil in sales, NECA in labor relations, then Luzerne County until his retirement.


He leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Mary Kay (Allan) Dailey, his son Christopher George Dailey, daughter-in-law Allison Parrish Dailey, and 2-year-old granddaughter, Addison Virginia Dailey.


George was an avid golfer, belonging to Fox Hill Country Club and Irem Country Club. He enjoyed vacationing in Avalon, NJ in the summer, and Pocono Manor in the summer and winter.


He will be greatly missed by his many friends, especially his grade school pals.
