James J. Blazejewski

James J. Blazejewski, 82, of Laflin passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026 in Geisinger, Danville.

 

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Edward Blazejewski, Sr. and Josephine Dargewicz Blazejewski.

 

Jim was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Plains, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Kings College, he then went on to honorably serve in the US Air Force and later earned his Master’s Degree from the University of Scranton.

 

Jim was a Certified Financial Planner and spent his over 40-year career working as a Financial Advisor in the Financial Services Industry, retiring from Wells Fargo Advisors.

 

In his earlier years Jim had his Commercial Pilot’s License. He, along with his loving wife, enjoyed traveling, skiing, walking, doing yoga, spending time outdoors, gardening and taking care of their lawn. Jim loved conversations and had an intellectual curiosity about a broad spectrum of subjects and people. Jim will be sadly missed by his neighbors, as they would see him walking with his wife and beloved but noisy Cocker Spaniel “Royal”.

 

Jim was grateful for all the joy he received from his family, neighbors, friends, financial relationships and the many people he had the privilege to meet during his lifetime.

 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Blazejewski, Jr.

 

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Gryczka Blazejewski, his brother, Don Blazejewski and his wife Linda, Oregon City, Oregon, brother-in-law, Alfred Gryczka and his wife Mary, Sarasota, Florida, sisters-in-law, Helen Blazejewski, Wilkes-Barre and Geraldine Tellie and her husband Joseph, Kingston and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday August 19, 2026 at 11AM in St. Maria Goretti Church, 42 Redwood Dr., Wilkes-Barre.

 

The Parish Rosary Group of Saint Maria Goretti Church will recite the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet at 10:30 AM, in the church.
