Janet Ruth Cox, 84, of Dallas Township, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023, in Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Kingston on October 19, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Gladys Hughes Hall. She was a graduate of Westmoreland High School. Janet was a wonderful, caring, loving mother and grandmother. Her greatest loves were her family, her pets, cooking, and the Philadelphia Phillies.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Patrick Brown; second husband, Frank Cox; brothers, George, David, Howard, Hugh and Dale; sister, Gladys.
Surviving are her children, Patrick Brown (Tracy), Dallas; Michael Brown (Jami), West Wyoming; Thomas Brown, Dallas and Carol Mindzak, Virginia; grandchildren, Michael and Kaia Brown and Patrick, Kevin, and Kyle Brown and Stephanie Mindzak; sisters, Nancy, Virginia; Betty, Plymouth and Barbara, Hunlock Creek ; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
