Jean Ann Leibman, 77 of Yatesville, passed away March 14, 2026 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, after a brief illness.

Born in Pittston on April 26, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Sam Latona and Jennie I. (Lunetta) Latona. She graduated from Pittston High School, Class of 1965.  She later made her home in Yatesville, PA, where she built a life centered around family, warmth and kindness.

Jean was a devoted wife to her husband Joseph Leibman, and a loving mother to her children, Jude Leibman, and Christine Leibman.  Her home was a place where family and friends gathered, laughs shared, and the kitchen filled with the aroma of her Italian dishes; especially her specialty sauce and meatballs.  As a homemaker, Jean expressed her love through the meals she prepared and the care she gave to those around her.

She had a warm welcoming smile that made everyone she met feel at ease, and she had a natural way of bringing people together – arranging a dinner where her son Jude met his now wife Leslie.  Whether it was a quiet moment with family or a lively gathering around the table, Jean treasured time spent with the people she loved the most.  And cherished grandma time with her grandson C.J.

Jean will be remembered for her kindness, her generous heart, and the simple but meaningful ways she showed love to those around her.  Her family and friends will carry her memory with them always.

Jean is survived by her husband of 56 years, Joseph Leibman, and their children; daughter, Christine Leibman, Yatesville and son, Jude Leibman and his wife Leslie, West Pittston, her grandson, C.J. Leibman, West Pittston, her sister Ann Marie Roberts, wife of the late Curtis Roberts, Pittston and numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Jean’s wishes, funeral services are private with interment in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas, PA.

Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC. #Leibman
