Jeanette Elizabeth Blossi (Blasi), 90, of the Old Boston Section of Jenkins Township, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021 in Residential Hospice at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
Born in the Old Boston Section of Jenkins Township, she was the daughter of the late Gino and Della Nardone Castellani.
She was a graduate of Jenkins Township High School and had worked in the local garment industry. She was a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
Jeanette took great joy in cooking and baking for her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and will be truly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Evo Blasi; brothers, Eugene Casterline and Patrick Castellani.
Surviving are her son, Peter Blasi, Old Boston; grandchildren, Peter Blasi, NY and Catherine Blasi, Philadelphia; sister, Margaret Lussi, Jenkins Township; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday, June 20, 2021, from 4pm-7pm in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 21, 2021, at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston. Interment, Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
