Jennifer Ankenbrand Wilson, 43, of Ashley, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit in Dunmore, with her oldest brother, Rob Ankenbrand, by her side.

Born on February 21, 1982, Jennifer was the daughter of the late Francis Ankenbrand and Patricia Bostock Ankenbrand of Duryea. She was a graduate of Pittston Area High School and the Allied Services Medical Education Program, and she also attended Penn State University. Jennifer was most recently employed by the Hanover Area School District, where she loved working very much.
Jennifer was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter, sister, and aunt. Over the past year, she faced advanced stomach cancer with extraordinary courage and grace, surrounded by a fierce and compassionate community of family and friends who supported, advocated for, and uplifted her every step of the way. Their love meant everything to her, and she was profoundly grateful.
Jen was known for her unwavering positivity, infectious smile, and joyful laugh. Family and friends were at the very heart of her life, and she treasured the many memories created with those she loved most. She had a natural gift for encouraging others to live fully and joyfully, offering warmth, support, and inspiration wherever she went.
Jen married her best friend, Robbie Wilson, and together they built a beautiful life while raising their two beloved daughters. Above all else, Jen’s greatest love was for her girls. They were her reason, her strength, and the heart of her fight. Being present for their soccer games, school activities, milestones, and everyday moments was of the utmost importance to her, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to providing them with everything they needed. Birthdays and Christmas were among her favorite celebrations—occasions she embraced with excitement, tradition, and love.
Jennifer was a truly special soul who will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew her. Her final wishes were simple yet deeply heartfelt: that her loved ones live happy lives, and that her daughters and her mother always be well cared for.
In addition to her mother, Patricia, Jennifer is survived by her loving husband, Robert Wilson, and their daughters, Brooke Wilson and Alexa Wilson; her brothers, Rob Ankenbrand and his wife, Alisha Moroz, of Baltimore, MD, and Darren Ankenbrand of Duryea; sisters-in-law Kelly Wilson of Duryea and Jennifer Tigue and her husband, Jeff, of Elk Lake; her mother-in-law, Christine Wilson of Duryea, and father-in-law, Bob Wilson of Nanticoke; her niece, Olivia Ankenbrand; and her nephews, Bobby Davidson, Josh Tigue, and Joel Tigue; as well as many dear friends who loved her deeply.
The family will share memorial details at a later time. A celebration of Jennifer’s life will be planned for a future date.
