Joan Naugle of Pittston, Pennsylvania, passed away Wednesday April 8, 2026 with her family by her side after recently celebrating her 87th birthday. Joan lived a life defined by generosity, devotion, and love for her family and community.

She had a heart larger than life, always putting others before herself. Whether it was giving the clothes off her back or making sure no one in the neighborhood went hungry, Joan’s kindness touched countless lives. Her home was a place of comfort and warmth where the aroma of her beloved Sunday sauce filled the air and her beautiful xenia flowers bloomed as a reflection of the care she gave to everything around her.

Joan devoted her life to caring for her special needs son, Frank, a role she embraced with unwavering strength, patience, and unconditional love. Through her extraordinary care and guidance, Frank grew to be a true gentleman, reflecting the values she instilled in him each day.

Her devotion extended equally to her daughter, Donna, whom she loved deeply. Donna shared her mother’s spirit of care and generosity, often taking Joan and Frank on trips to New York and beyond, creating cherished memories together. Joan’s love for both of her children was boundless, and she took great pride in the family they built together.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures taking her daily walks, spending time with those she loved, and proudly keeping her Italian traditions alive through food, family, and faith.

Joan will be remembered for her nurturing soul, her open door, and the love she so freely gave. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and the reminder that the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest impact.

She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Grace DeNardo Miglionico, her husband Donald Naugle, son Frank Naugle, brother Martin Miglionico and sister Phyllis Gardner.

Joan is survived by her daughter Donna Doman and her husband George, of Larksville, her granddaughter, Sarah Bozinko and her husband Jason, of Larksville, great-grandchildren, Jackson Francis Bozinko and Giana Grace Bozinko, brother, Alan Miglionico and his wife Mary Beth, sister-in-law, Verna Chapman, and Crystal Folweiler, whom she loved as one of her own and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
