John A. Delconte, 96, of Colonie, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 04, 2022 at the Inn of Community Hospice.
He was born in Pittston, he was the son of the late Michael and Rachael Delconte. John served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was employed as an Office Manager for Wilson Foods and more recently with the former Ann Lee Nursing Home, NY, from where he retired. He enjoyed the Times Union crossword puzzles, reading the newspaper and watching the New York Yankees.
John is survived by his wife of 73 years, Bruna Pelleschi Delconte. He is the devoted Father of Mara (Michael) Shave and John D. Delconte. He is the proud Papa of Rachael and Jessica Shave and great grandfather of
John Ed and Lilliani. John is the brother of Michael (Sylvia) Delconte and the late Frank, Joseph, Frances and Angela. He is the brother-in-law of Pauline Delconte and Nevio Pelleschi. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends and relatives Friday, February 11, 2022, from 8am-9:15am in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston. Facial coverings are required. Entombment will follow in Mt.
