John Andrew Chopyak, Jr., 53, of Pittston, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 20, 2021.
Born in Pittston on September 23, 1967, he was the son of John Andrew Chopyak, Sr. and the late Patricia Webb Chopyak.
John attended Pittston Area High School and had worked in the local construction industry.
In addition to his mother Patricia (Webb) Chopyak, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Karen Moscatelli.
Surviving in addition to his father, John Andrew Chopyak Sr. (Yvonne), Wisconsin are sisters Patricia Ferretti (Allyn), Pittston and Donna Chopyak (Anthony Lapland), White Haven; and twin brother, Joseph Chopyak
(Jennifer), Pittston and best friend and nephew Joey Chopyak; numerous nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He leaves behind three children, son Jonathan (Sandra), daughters Tiffany and Taylor; and 15 grandchildren, all in California.
A walk through visitation will be held Sunday, February 28, 2021, from 1pm-3pm in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston following CDC guidelines of wearing a face covering and maintaining social distance. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in St. Mary’s Assumption Cemetery, Hughestown. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
