John Dominic Ciampi

John Dominic Ciampi, 78, of West Pittston, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 in Riverside Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Taylor.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on February 4, 1944, he was the son of the late Gerard and Linda Baracaia Ciampi.

He was someone who went above and beyond for his family, friends, and even strangers without ever looking for anything in return.

His wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandson were the apple of his eye, as he was, in turn, the apple of their eyes and loved beyond measure.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy Kashuda Ciampi; daughters, Donna Ciampi, West Pittston and Sandra Jacobs and her husband John, Camp Hill; grandchildren, Ashlee Jacobs and her fiancé Justin Smith, Travis Jacobs, and Nicholas Jacobs; great-grandson, Wesley Smith; and numerous cousins.

The family will receive relatives and friends, Friday, January 27, 2023, from 10am-11am in Corpus Christi Parish, 605 Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, Pittston.
