John James Hizny, Jr., 72, of Exeter, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, in Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Pittston on July 2, 1950, he was the son of the late John James Hizny, Sr. and Josephine Shission Hizny.
He was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School and served in the U.S. Army. He had worked as union carpenter.
He is survived by his son, John Robert Hizny, Los Angeles, CA; former wife, Karen Stesney, Pittsburgh; loving brother, Jacob Hizny, Pittston; a niece and a nephew.
There will be no calling hours or services.
Rest in peace my old Friend, I am sure you will catch a lot of fish and shoot a lot of geese in the game lands in the sky. You will be missed my old Friend. I will never forget the rides in the 57 chevy Rag Top and the fishing in Canada.
