John Kenneth More, 77, of Exeter, passed Friday, February 27, 2026, at Regional Hospital of Scranton.

Born in Winnebago Minnesota, on the 4th of July in 1948 he was the son of the late Kenneth F. More and Marjorie Tolzmann More.
He graduated from Minnesota Lake High School and later received his Associates Degree.
John proudly served our country for 20 years. He served 4 years in the United States Air Force and then commissioned into the United States Navy where he served for 16 years. He traveled to Okinawa, Vietnam, Guam, Scotland, Western Australia and la Maddalena, Italy to name a few.
He later retired as a Senior Chief. After retirement John worked for many years for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a clerk for the Bureau of Disability Determination.
John was an avid sports fan, especially all the Minnesota teams, professional and collegiate and the New York Yankees.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Janet More.
John is survived by his wife of 45 years Anne Dente More, and he was the proud father of his daughter Rachelle Furman (Matthew), Exeter, and his siblings; Jim More (Edith), Jerry More, Joel More (Sharon), Jay More (Kathy), Janet Proehl (Kurt), Judy Hamann (David) and brother-in-law Joe Dente, Exeter and also by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Gino Merli Veterans Center for their dedicated care and compassion.
At the request of the family viewing and burial will be private.
John will be laid to rest in Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
