John Phillip Corridoni, Jr.

John Phillip Corridoni, Jr., 83, of Pittston, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family Sunday, February 13, 2022.

Born in Pittston on December 21, 1938, he was preceded in death by his father, John P. Corridoni, Sr., birthmother, Mary Pisano Corridoni and loving stepmother, Concetta (Connie) Alba Corridoni.


In addition to his loving wife of 40 years, Joanne Pikaitis Corridoni, he is survived by his eight children; Lisa C. Falzone (Will), NC, John P. Corridoni III (Debra), Philadelphia; Theresa Santoro (Chris), Pittston; Nick Corridoni (Maureen Flanagan), Pittston; Jim Corridoni, West Pittston; Matthew Corridoni (Ann), Florida; Gabriella Corridoni, Pittston; and Giovanna Martosella (Jay), Philadelphia; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many loving cousins.


As a young man out of high school, John had the privilege of serving his country in the Air Force. He traveled to many countries. He was a member of the Pittston American Legion, Post #477.


John was a member of Teamsters Local 229 for 25 years. He was a life insurance agent for Western Southern Insurance Company. He was also a car salesman for JoDan Motors, Plains and Marcum Motors, Wyoming. He was appreciated by his customers and peers alike.


Above all else, John loved being with family and friends. He enjoyed cooking pig roasts, pasta dinners and fish fries. He enjoyed hunting with his sons and cousins and his cabin in Susquehanna County. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, now St. Joseph Marello Parish and participated in the yearly summer picnic. John loved gardening, building ponds and landscaping.


Special thank you to Bayada Nurses and the aids who cared for John at his home, making his final days easier.


The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday, February 17, 2022, from 5pm-8pm in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 18, 2022, at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston. Interment, St. Rocco’s Cemetery, Pittston.
