Jolene Chimento
Jolene Chimento, 61, formerly of West Pittston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Edenbrook on Second Avenue in Kingston, where she resided.

Born on May 20, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Anthony O. Chimento and Carmella Lombardi Chimento.
Jolene was a graduate of West Side Tech High School and attended Day Development for 35 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Anthony Chimento.
Jolene is survived by her loving sister Judith Cefalo and her husband Michael, Exeter, and brother Kevin Chimento and his wife Robin, Louisiana, her nieces and nephews; Toni Chimento, Louisiana, Michael Cefalo (Jacqueline), Shavertown, Carla Goode (Dustin), Louisiana, and Matthew Cefalo (Sarah) California, great nieces and nephew, Elyiana Cefalo, Amelia Cefalo, Sunny Cefalo and Owen Goode. Jolene is also survived by her aunts and uncles; Elizabeth Chimento, Antoinette Vidzar, Nicholas Chiumento and Sharon Egan and David Lombardi (Patricia) and numerous cousins.
Jolene was truly our special angel on earth. She had a beautiful spirit and a way of touching the hearts of everyone she met. She was loved by so many and brought joy, warmth and happiness into the lives of those around her.
Jolene loved playing baseball, bowling, painting, and dancing. She especially enjoyed listening to Michael Jackson and watching her favorite movies, Mamma Mia! and Grease. She adored her nieces and nephews who all held a special place in her heart. She also cherished her wonderful circle of friends, - Mary Helen, Colleen, Nicole, Chrissy, Dawn, and Diane-who brought so much friendship and happiness into her life. Jolene was also blessed to have Donna Andrewscavage and Mary Ann Pepsis as truly special people in her life.
After the passing of her beloved father, Jolene made her home with her sister Judy and brother-in-law Mike. Their years together were filled with countless special memories, laughter,
adventures, and love, and every moment spent with Jolene was truly a gift. She enjoyed many wonderful trips to their home in Naples, Florida, visits to Disney World, and days in Cape May. These experiences created memories that will be treasured forever.
Jolene lived her life surrounded by love, friendship, family, and joy. Although she had Down Syndrome, those who knew her never defined her by it. She was simply Jolene-our special angel-who taught us that the greatest gifts in life are love, laughter, kindness, and the special moments that we share with one another. Her beautiful spirit will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
She is now dancing and singing once again in the arms of our parents. What a joyous reunion it must have been!
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Edenbrook on Second Ave., for the care and compassion they provided to Jolene. They would also like to thank her roommate, Lore Napkora, whose caring presence and special bond with Jolene brought comfort, companionship, and joy to her life.
