Joseph Charles Grimes, 55, of Dorrance Township, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at home.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on September 9, 1968, he was the son of Charles J. Grimes, of Pittston and Carol Cummings Barber, of West Pittston.
Joseph was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Gulf War. He was self-employed as an owner/operator truck driver.
Surviving are his wife, Dawn Fetterman Grimes; stepmother, Rose Ferentino Grimes, Pittston; daughters, Nora Grimes, Kayle Grimes and John (JR) Grimes; sister, Jacqueline Robbins (Thomas), Hawaii; stepbrothers, Maurice Ferentino, Pittsburgh; Jude Ferentino, Jenkins Township; Jason Ferentino (Tiffany), Duryea; and Jarrett Ferentino (Nicole), Jenkins Township; aunt, Judy Bethman (Jerry), Wapwallopen; mother-in-law, Dorothy Banta; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Services were private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
