Joseph J. Stepanski, Jr., 79 formerly of Pittston Twp., passed away Friday, May 9, 2025, at Gardens for Memory Care, Easton, where he resided.


Born in Pittston he was the son of the late Joseph Stepanski, Sr. and Josephine Panunti Stepanski.


Joe was a graduate of Northeast High School.


In his earlier years he worked in the local garment industry and retired from the Dupont Powder Mill.


He was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed spending time with his sons, and grandchildren, and he was a Yankees fan.


In addition to his parents he was preceded in death but his wife Marilyn Stefanelli Stepanski in 2004.


He is surviving by his sons; Joseph A. Stepanski and his wife Lisa, Harding, and Anthony Stepanksi, Suscon, grandchildren; Matthew Stepanski and Alyssa Stepanski, brothers-in-law Anthony Stefanelli and wife Karen and John Stefanelli and wife Janice, nieces and nephews.


The family with receive friends and relatives at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC 251 William St. Pittston, Thursday May 22, 2025 from 5-7PM, followed by a blessing service.

I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He worked for my parents in the 80s at their factory called "Fred's Cutting". I always remembered him as such a nice man. A couple of years ago I happened to run into him and we reminisced about those days and laughed quite a bit. My prayers are with you during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
