Joseph R. Colarusso, Sr., 84, of Pittston Township, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021, at home.
Born in the Old Boston Section of Jenkins Township on May 31, 1936, he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary Casciani Colarusso. He was a graduate of Jenkins Township High School and served in the U.S. Airforce. He retired from Potlatch Paper Mill.
He was a Philadelphia Eagles football fan. He was a former member of the Italian Educational Circle, Pittston Township. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and will be truly missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Adrian (Cookie) Clapps.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly Geist Colarusso. They would have celebrated 61 years of marriage in June. Also surviving are children, Joseph Colarusso, Jr. (Roseanne),
Harding; Edward Colarusso (Linda), Swoyersville; Randy Colarusso (Jill), West Wyoming; Kathy Bieble (Lenny), Pittston; and Michael Colarusso, Pittston Township; grandchildren, Edward Colarusso (Kristen); Tahnee Colarusso; Nathan Colarusso; Kyle Colarusso; Cody Colaursso; Joey Colarusso; Gianna Colarusso; Kaylee Bieble and Karlie Bieble; Sophia Colarusso; Michael Colarusso, Jr.; and Rocco Colarusso; a great-granddaughter, who was the light of his life, Olivia Colarusso; sister, Diane McAdarra (George), Exeter; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled and announced at a future date.
