Julie (Guilivia) Angeli Mancus

Julie Angeli Mancus, of West Pittston, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, January 4, 2023, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, surrounded by family.

Born in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Girolamo and Maria Benedetti Angeli.


Julie was a graduate of Old Forge High School and Beauty School. Julie had a passion for life that included so many subjects. She was a business owner in Pittston for over 60 years having the 2nd longest established business in Pittston. Her creativity in hair and numerous art projects including macrame’ and painting gained her local recognition. Decorating both at her beauty shop and at home produced many unimaginable designs. Her pride in her work showed in all she did.


Her 33 years of service for the Nation Ski Patrol @ Montage Mtn. extended a lifelong journey of skiing in Europe, Canada and the US. Julie had an unending zeal for physical fitness. She shared these passions with her family and life partner Jake.


The only passion stronger than her creativity, was love for family, particularly her grandchildren and her unwavering faith.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Angelo and Antonio Angeli and sister, Louisa Angeli.


Surviving are her children, John David Mancus, West Pittston and Jessica Mancus-Bartalotta, Pittston Township; grandchildren, Abigail Mancus, Frank Angelo Bartalotta, Emily Mancus, Aaron Mancus, and Isabella Rose Bartalotta; her loving partner of 31 years, Jacob W. Felix III, West Pittston; sister, Santina Mead, Scranton; numerous nieces and nephews.


The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday, January 8, 2023, from 2pm-5pm in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. Funeral services will take place Monday, January 9, 2023 from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
