Kathleen (Kathy) M. Masulis

Kathleen (Kathy) M. Masulis, 69, of Pittston, passed away at home Saturday, April 13, 2024.

 

Born in Wilmington DE on August 16, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Sally A. McLane Finn.


Kathy was a graduate of Pittston Area High School and Jerrytone School of Beauty.   She served in the U.S. Army.  Kathy was the owner and proprietor of Salon 459 located in Wilkes-Barre for over 30 years.  She was an avid volunteer at Saint Barbara’s Parish and the chairman of the (very successful) annual flea market.  She would frequent estate sales and thrift stores across Luzerne County.

 

Kathy is preceded in death by her husband Edward Masulis, her parents Patrick and Sally, her brother Father Michael Finn, her brother-in-law, George Engleman and a nephew Brian Engleman.

 

Survived by her son David Masulis and his wife (Courtney), her siblings Ann Theresa Engleman, Edward (Peggy), Gordon, and Patricia Medico (Charles), sister-in-law Cheryl Finn, niece Patricia Joyce (Robert), and nephew Patrick Engleman (Beth).  She was the greatest Nana in the world to her grandchildren Michael, Lauren, Stephen, Morgan, and Addison.  She is also survived by numerous friends. 

 

The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 4pm-7pm in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, April 19, 2024, at 10am in Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish, 535 N. Main Street, Pittston.  Those attending are asked to go directly to the church.  Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.  Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Center, 2010 Adams Avenue, Scranton, PA  18509.

A wonderful woman I am happy to have known from her days helping at St Barbara’s under her her brother’s Pastorate. Unfortunately I cannot make the services, but I will be keeping the whole family in my prayers ❤️
