Today we celebrate the life of Lottie “Dolly” Yarasavich, who departed into eternal life on January 29, 2021 at the age of 89 from a non-Covid-19-related illness. Lottie passed away at the Residential Hospital Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre, with her daughter, Sharon, at her bedside, as she had been since Lottie was placed in hospice. Lottie shall be missed by those of us left behind.
Lottie was a kind woman with a big heart. She had a lively spirit and robust personality for much of her life. She enjoyed travel, dining out, her daughters’ cooking, being surrounded by Snoopy decorations at Christmas, Tom Jones’ music, and was an avid QVC shopper. She followed golf, especially Tiger Woods, and football especially Aaron Rogers and the Green Bay Packers.
Lottie was born on a Tuesday in December, 1931 and was indeed a Tuesday’s child Full of Grace. She was predeceased in death by her parents Joseph and Martha Tikowski Yaskulski, her sister, Pat DeBiasi, her son, Kevin Yarasavich, and her daughter-in-law, Cindy Wyberski Yarasavich.
Lottie was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Frank Yarasavich, her daughters, Pat Voveris and
Sharon Piper, her son, Mark Yarasavich, her grandsons, Kevin and Kenneth, and her long-time family friend, Mark Hill.
The family wishes to extend a most sincere Thank You to the nursing staff at Residential Hospice. Sharon saw first-hand, how compassionate, attentive, empathetic, gentle and kind they were towards her mother.
For public health safety due to Covid-19 restrictions, the funeral is private, with no viewing. A funeral blessing service will be celebrated with Father Jackson Pinhero from St. John the Evangelist Church, where Lottie was a member for more than 30 years. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
