Madeline (Mig) Amico

Madeline (Mig) Amico, 97, of Pittston, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021. Born in West Pittston on October 10, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo Deice and Giovannina Fonzo Deice.

She was a graduate of West Pittston High School.


She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Amico and son, Sebastian J. Amico; brothers, Joseph Deice, Carmen Deice and infant twin brothers; sisters, Mary Salerno, Carmella Lunetta, and Johanna Sacco.


Surviving are her sons, John Amico and his wife Loretta, Hughestown; and Paul Amico Pittston; grandchildren, John Amico and his wife Michelle, Pittston; Gina Gebhardt and her husband Rick, Pittston; Amy Klein and her husband Chris, New Tripoli; and Steven Amico and his wife Avery, Blandon; great-

grandchildren, Richie and Zach Bowen; Angelina and Kiersten Klein; Ayla Amico and Madeline Amico; sister-in-law, Frances Gristina, Pittston.


Special thank you to the staff of Linwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and the staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the compassionate care they provided to Madeline.


The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday, June 29, 2021, from 6pm-8pm in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at 9:30am in Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish, 535 North Main Street, Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church Wednesday morning. Interment, West Pittston Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Drive #7, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
