Margaret “Peggy” Stofko

On the morning of May 8th, Margaret “Peggy” Stofko passed peacefully on to the pearly gates of heaven.

Peggy was born February 18th, 1942 in Exeter, daughter of Theodore and Margaret Nicholson. She was 1960 graduate of Exeter High School.

Peggy would go on to work in the garment industry, but would be most known around Harding as Peg from Coolbaughs. Working there for close to 30 years, Peggy would become the morning face to many of the customers, always greeting them with a smile and a hello.

To her family she was wife to George, to whom

she was married for 47 years, mom to her two boys Ricky and Brian, and Nana to her three grandchildren Chance, Alexis and Emilie.

Peggy was always there for her family, be it flying to Colorado, driving to Tennessee, showing up for school functions and sporting events, or just watching the dogs.

She is preceded in death by her grandson Chance Hunter Stofko, who was probably waiting for her at the gates with the dogs, brothers John, Robert, Daniel, and sister Gertrude Nicholson.

She leaves behind her husband George of Harding, her son Ricky and his wife Nicole along with their children Alexis and Emilie of Mountaintop, son Brian and his wife Elisa of Cunningham, TN, her brother Kenny and his wife Velma of Wisconsin, along with multiple nieces and nephews. Peggy will be greatly missed by those who knew her and loved her.

As per the request of Peggy, there will be no viewing nor a memorial service. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
