Margaret R. Adonizio, 101, formerly of Pittston, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024, in Scranton Health Care Center.
Born in Pittston in 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Dinunzio Chaump.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Adonizio in 1985 as well as her 13 siblings.
Surviving is her daughter Josephine Irving and her husband Joseph, numerous nieces and nephews.
Peggy was a loving wife and mother. Her family was first and foremost in her life. She always took care of her family. Friends and family would often call Peggy for help and she would always be there for them.
Special thank you to the Scranton Health Care Center, especially nurses and staff who took wonderful care of Peggy. Also, special thank you to M&T Bank Janelle and Nancy who were very accommodating with financial services for Peggy.
In accordance with Peggy’s wishes, private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family with interment in St. Rocco’s Cemetery, Pittston Township. No mass cards or sympathy cards, please. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, Pittston.
