Marie Elaine O’Donovan, 93, of Malvern and formerly of Old Boston, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026 in Paoli Hospital.

 

Born in Dupont on June 23, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Carmen and Josephine Rome Iannuzzo.

 

Marie was a graduate of Jenkins Township High School, class of 1950. 

 

She had worked The Donut Shop located on the corner of Old Boston Road and Route 315 for 40 years.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and will be greatly missed. 

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Neil O’Donovan in 2007 and sisters; Florence Stanton, Ann Farrell and Rosemary Galli.

 

Surviving are her son, Michael “Mick” (Karen) O’Donovan, West Chester; grandsons, Mickey (Danielle) O’Donovan, Mechanicsburg, PA and Matthew O’Donovan, Orlando FL; great-granddaughters, Nora Rose and Ella Grace; sister, Joan Pellegrini, Pittston, nieces and nephews.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday January 7, 2026 at 9:30 AM in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston, with Rev. Paul McDonnell officiating.

 

The family will receive friends and relatives in the church from 8:30AM until the time of mass.

 

 Entombment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
