Marie Elizabeth Poplawski, 74, formerly of Dupont, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 in Paoli Hospital, Paoli Pa.
Born in Taylor on February 11, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Jane Gross Poplawski.
Marie was a graduate of Northeast High School and Misericordia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. She had worked at RCA Corporation, Dunmore, Pa for over 32 years and in the accounting department of Bank of America, Montage Mountain for over 10 years.
She had resided in Dupont for over 45 years before moving to King of Prussia in 2020.
Marie was past President and treasurer of the Duryea Women’s Club, a big sister of the Big Brothers-Big Sisters Organization of Scranton and an active member of the Women’s Society of Sacred Heart of Jesus
Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Poplawski in 1998.
Surviving are her sister Susan Baker and her husband John, King of Prussia;
Nephews Jason and his wife Emily, Ambler Pa and Kyle Baker, King of Prussia;
Two great nephews Tyler and Rowan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday March 11, 2022 at 9:30 in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 215 Lackawanna Avenue, Dupont. Interment, will be in the Parish Cemetery.
