Marilyn Starna, 71, of Pittston Twp., passed away Thursday morning October 23, 2025 surrounded by family at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

Born on October 6, 1954 and raised in the Midvale section of Plains Twp., she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Voitus Jackloski. She attended Plains Schools, and graduated from James M. Coughlin High School.
Marilyn spent her career in the local banking industry, mentoring and being a friend to countless co-workers; she was currently the Branch Manager of Wells Fargo Bank, Pittston. She took great pride in the relationships she developed with her customers. In her earlier years, she proudly served on the Pittston Area School Board.
Marilyn could be described as the joy you feel on Christmas morning and the warmth and relaxation you feel at the beach.
She had a special way of making everyone feel loved and like they were part of the family. Her family will cherish the memories of time spent together at the beach in North Wildwood, NJ.
Marilyn’s greatest joy in life were her grandchildren, words could not describe the love she had for them. Her and her husband rarely missed a game, they could be found on the fence proudly cheering for them no matter the weather. She was always their loudest and proudest fan.
Marilyn always made sure everyone in the crowd knew they were her kids.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Jackloski.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years (April 26), Bob Starna, and their daughter, Leslie Widdick and her husband John, Pittston Twp., and her grandchildren whom she adored, Beau Widdick and Milania Widdick.
Also surviving, her siblings; sisters, Alberta Kosloski, (Jerry), New Jersey, Cheryl Hritz, (Jack), Plains, Linda Elmy (Jimmy), Wilkes-Barre, Ann Marie Banks, (Bernie), Wilkes-Barre, brother, John “Yanko” Jackloski (Carol), Wyoming, sisters-in-law, Carol Jackloski, Hilldale, and Judy Deice, Pittston Twp., numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday October 28, 2025 from 4PM-8PM at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William St., Pittston. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
