Mary (Fumanti) Ghilardi, 88 of Jessup, passed away Friday, August 29, 2025 at the home of her daughter Maria, surrounded by her family. Her husband, Peter P. “Pants” Ghilardi preceded her in death in 2014.
Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Mildred Lapic Fumanti.
She was a graduate of Olyphant High School.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother (Nonna), and sister and she will be truly missed.
She is survived by daughters Maria and her husband, Robert Magliocchi, Throop; Marisa and her husband, Brian Lynch, West Grove; grandchildren Lina, Gianna, Gino, Kaylah, and Alana Magliocchi, Shana Denne (Rick), Shane Lynch (Michele), Shaylyn Tinari (Brent); sister Ceil Gilgallon; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers Sam, Frank, and Tom Fumanti.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 10 a.m. in Queen of Angels Parish at St. Michael’s Church, 322 First Avenue, Jessup. The family will receive friends and relatives in the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the mass. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Montdale.
