Michael Antal, 52, of Hughestown, passed away unexpectedly at home early Friday morning.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on March 22, 1968, he was the son of Janet (Lucas) Antal, of Hughestown, and the late Robert Antal.
Michael was a graduate of Pittston Area and Luzerne County Community College. He was a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners, Local 645, Scranton, PA. He was employed by Dan Meranti Plumbing and Heating.
To meet Mike was to love Mike. He was the life of the party. He had a smile that would make you smile and a laugh that was unforgettable. Whether it be listening to Rock and Roll, rooting for his favorite driver at NASCAR, watching old war movies or quizzing you on history, my Dad was passionate about all the things he loved (to a fault). At the end of the day, his truest passion was the time spent in the great outdoors with his family and friends. He was a good son, a good brother, a loving father and a great friend.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter Lauren Antal and her fiancé Myles D’Elia, Exeter; brothers Bobby Antal
and his wife, Lisa, Suscon and Dave Antal and his wife, Chrissy, Pittston; nieces and nephew, Bailee Switzer and her husband, Christian, Matthew Antal, Alexandra Cawley and Hunter Antal; former wife, Molly Belusko, Wilkes-Barre; significant other Carla Schumacher, WilkesBarre; aunts, an uncle and numerous cousins.
Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish, Pittston and interment in St. Mary’s Assumption Cemetery, Hughestown. A celebration of Michael’s life will follow at a later date.
Go Dolphins!
Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
I knew Mike briefly when he was first married and became the Proudest Father of a Red Headed Angle. His positive Attitude and enthusiasm made him friends wherever he was. He was a a
Point of Light in a sometimes Grey world. The World is a Lesser place without him.
