Michael J. Policare
Michael J. Policare, 63 of Pittston and New Jersey, passed away Tuesday October 13, 2026, after a brief illness at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, NJ.
Born in Pittston on March 27, 1963 he was the son of Stella Hornick Policare, of Florida and the late Michael J. Policare.
Mike graduated from Wyoming Area High School. He went on to have an over 35-year career with UPS.
He was a die-hard fan of the Eagles, Phillies, and Sixers. Mike was a Philadelphia Eagles season ticket holder for many years.
Mike enjoyed life and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Melissa and her fiancé Michael Biscotto, and his sisters, Donna Alaimo and Lori Rieger, nieces and nephews, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends and relatives Friday October 30, 2026 from 5-7PM at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William St.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday October 31, 2026 at 9:30AM in Communion of Saints Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 237 William St.
Those wishing to attend are asked to go directly to the church on Saturday morning.

I’ve seen you so many times like this!!! This is YOU!! I worked with you for years and we remained friends for years. Back in he day you were there for me for some of my saddest moments!! Losing my cat and putting him to sleep. We remained friends for years. I’m so broken Suzanne
