Michael John Kelly, Jr., 61, of Pittston, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
Born in Pittston on January 27, 1960, he was the son of the late Michael John Kelly Sr. and Ann T. Callahan Kelly.
He was a graduate of Pittston Area High School and Wilkes-Barre Vo-Tech, class of 1977.
Michael had worked as a programmer for Metropolitan Life for over 30 years. He had a passion for Mustang cars and was a member of the Mustang Club of America.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his sister, Michelle Kelly.
Surviving are his spouse of 5 years, Zachary Adams-Kelly; two daughters, Laura (Matt) Sundholm and their daughter, Audrey, Harrisburg; and Maria (Michael) Tomaszewski, Exeter; sisters, Kathy (Chet) Shimko, Pittston and Donna (James) Burden, Wilkes-Barre; brothers, Brian (Sharon) Kelly, Exeter; John (Megan) Kelly, West Pittston, and Kevin (Marcy) Kelly, Marion
Heights; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rebecca and Arthur Adams, Hazleton; sister-in-law, Megan (Rick) Krieger and their son, Ryan, Weatherly; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from 9:30am-10:45am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William Street, Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am.Interment, St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Exeter. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
