Michael Mezanko, 76, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Wednesday September 11, 2024 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley.
Born in Wilkes-Barre he was the son of the late Peter J. and Sara Hosage Mezanko.
Michael was a graduate of G.A.R. High School and attended Kutztown University.
In his earlier years he worked in the family business, Peter J. Mezanko Moving & Storage Co., Wilkes-Barre and worked as a photographer. Mike retired from the Luzerne County Court House where he worked for many years in the Build and Grounds Dept.
Surviving are his sons, Michael Frederick Mezanko, Portland Or. and Peter Joseph Mezanko (Tammy), Pittston. Also surviving are his sisters, Barbara Tomalis, NC, Arlene Sokoloski (Robert) Washingtonville, NY and Patricia Kay (Michael), Goshen NY, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In accordance with his wishes private funeral services will take place, St. Mary’s Byzantine Cemetery, Dallas. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC.
