Michael T. Lee, Sr., 82 of Pittston Twp., passed away Friday January 12, 2024 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.
Born in Pittston he was the son of the late William F. Lee, Sr. and Margaret Smith Lee.
He was a graduate of Hughestown High School, class of 1959.
Michael proudly served in the United States Navy, on the USS Canberra on the onset of the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a retired Union Iron worker out of Local 489 Scranton with McGregor Industries.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Patricia D. Lee and infant sister Mary Agnes and brothers; William F. Lee, Jr. and Bernard Lee.
Mike is survived by his daughters; Kelli Klinges (Gary), Bonnie Orth (Richard), son, Michael T. Lee, Jr., (Rebecca) and grandchildren; Tina and Lindsey Klinges, Michael, Cody, and Kierstyn Lee. Also, numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved cat Dooters.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Bill Hilbert, neighbor and friend, Pittston Twp. Ambulance Association, Paramedics and medics for their excellent care, concern, patience and understanding for our father. Also thank you to Dr. Kevin Musto and the multiple staff members of Geisinger Wyoming Valley for taking care of “Oompah”
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday January 17, 2024 from 10-11am at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC 251 William Street Pittston.
