Michaeline “Mickie” Capone

Michaeline “Mickie” Capone, 79, of Hughestown, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 28, 2021, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital surrounded by her family.

Born in Kingston, on August 12, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mildred Olenik Zagora.


Mickie was a graduate of Plymouth High School, class of 1960. In her earlier years, Mickie volunteered her time at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center and was employed at the Bon-Ton. She was a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish and the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed traveling to Atlantic City and playing the penny machines at Mohegan Sun Casino.


Mickie will be remembered by all who knew her for her kindness, compassion as well as for her beautiful smile and friendly hello. She was a loving wife, mother, and grand-

mother. Her greatest joy were her two grandchildren who meant the world to her. She truly enjoyed watching them play baseball and soccer.


In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by husband Louis Capone; daughter Donna Capone; brothers, Robert and Joseph Zagora; sister, Janet Fischer; nephew Richard Fischer; and brother-in-law Albert Serino.


Mickie is survived by her daughter Jeanine Ralston and her husband Ronald, Duryea; grandchildren, Hunter and Jordan Ralston; sister-in-law, Virginia Serino; nieces and nephews; A.J. and Renee Serino, Mark and Alauna Serino, Angelo and Sharon Serino, Gia and Joe Fahey, Terry Ann Fischer, Brian, Michael, Janelle, Shannon, and Heather Zagora, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.


The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Schiowitz, the MSICU, and 6 East nursing staff at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital for the extraordinary and compassionate care they provided to Mickie.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 9:30AM in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston, with Rev. Paul McDonnell officiating. Those attending are asked to go directly to church. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 4-7PM in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. The family requests those attending wear a face covering or mask.
