Padmini “Paddi” Rajagopal, 76, of Shavertown, PA passed away on Dec 24, 2020 at Allied Services Hospice, Scranton.
Paddi was born in Kunnamkulam, Kerala, India, the oldest of five to Professor N. Balakrishnan Nair and Meenakshi Amma Palissery. She remained married 44 years to Chorinjeth Rajagopalan (deceased) and is survived by her four children, five grandchildren, and her siblings
Paddi had a love for learning, a wonderful sense of humor, and a passion for helping others.
She was a dearly beloved teacher for 30 years at LCCC. Her students were always her focus in the classroom and her one-on-one instruction in the college’s Learning Resource Center proved invaluable for many. She frequently volunteered her time and energy to others, often taking people in need, of all different backgrounds, into her own home for shelter. She was strong in her faith and headed the Kingston Sathya Sai Center Chapter.
She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
