Patsy Anne Coursey "Annie", 76, of Pittston Twp., passed unexpectedly Saturday evening August 22, 2026 at Regional Hospital of Scranton. Annie was born January 8, 1950, daughter of the late Robert and Callie Coursey.

Raised in Palatka Florida, she was a graduate of Palatka Jr-Sr High School and went off to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Florida. In her earlier years she had worked as a public-school teacher. She was smart, talented, quick-witted, and a had a sense of humor that captured the whole room. She inquired nicknames over the years; Uncle Annie and Uncle Sparkles.
For 17 years Annie along with her loving partner, Jane Devaney owned and operated AJ' s Bar and Grill, a beloved neighborhood bar and restaurant in Jacksonville Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sylvester and Florence Blaskowski and her brother Bobby Coursey.
She is survived and will be sadly missed by her partner of 35 years, Jane Devaney, Pittston Twp., sisters-in-law, Marie Santone, Pittston Twp., and Linda Bonk, Scranton, nephew, Stephen Davis (Michele), Florida, nieces, Kristin Endres (Eric), Pittston Twp., and Hannah Bonk, Scranton, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews; Morgan, Parker, Avery, and Owen. Her cat Binkx brought endless joy to her daily life.
A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.

You and Janey connected with so many of us and you will forever be in our hearts.
Annie you will be dearly missed! Our long talks and late night therapy sessions over all the years with you and Janey saved me more times than I can count. I will see you again and we will catch up and hug and laugh. Till I hear you wonderful laugh and see your beautiful smile …thank you for just being you! I love you Janey and am only a call away.
