Paul A. Delaney, Sr., 61, of Hughestown, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 27, 2025, at home.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on October 9, 1963, he was the son of the late James “Jay” Delaney, Sr. and Dorothy Ann Goham Delaney.
Paul was a graduate of Pittston Area High School and he served in the United States Air Force.
Paul retired in December of 2017 from the Pennsylvania Auditor Generals Department after 35 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David A. Delaney, Sr.
Surviving are Paul’s wife of 41 years, Tammie Delaney; son, Paul A. Delaney, Jr. and daughter-in-law Sydney Shelly; granddaughter, Teagan Grace Delaney, all of Hughestown; sister, Karen Adonizio and her husband Charles, Plains Township; brother James “Jay” Delaney, Jr. and his wife Valerie, Wilkes-Barre; sister-in-law Lisa Delaney, Harvey’s Lake, Aunt Mary Doris Donovan, Hughestown; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends and relatives Saturday August 2, 2025 from 1-3PM at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William St., Pittston.
