Philip Charles Pisano, 79, of Hughestown, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023, at home, surrounded by his family.
Born in Pittston on January 6, 1944, he was the son of the late Philip R. and Josephine Linski Pisano.
He was a graduate of Pittston High School. Phil worked in the garment industry for many years. He was co-owner of S & P Cutting and later worked for the Pittston Area School District.
Phil was a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston.
Family was the most important thing to Phil; especially his grandchildren. He adored them all very much. He enjoyed going to their sporting events and spending time with them all.
Phil was an avid golfer. He was a fan of both the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles, and enjoyed going to games with his son and grandson.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and will be truly missed.
Surviving are his wife Mary Ann. They would have been married 55 years in April. Also surviving are son, Philip Pisano, Pittston Township; daughter, Lisa Gilchrist (Chris), Jenkins Township; grandchildren, P.J. and Isabella Pisano; Alanna, Julia, and Martina Gilchrist; sister, Rosemarie Fantuzzo (Matthew), Souderton; brother-in-law, Richard; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 5pm-8pm in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
