Philomena Reh, 94, of Pittston passed away Tuesday evening November 25, 2025, at Highland Manor, Exeter.


Born and raised in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Antoinette Chiumento Tirone. She was a graduate of Pittston High School Class of 1949 and worked for the Social Security Administration. She was a longtime Philadelphia Phillies and Pittsburgh Steelers fan, even though they sometimes broke her heart.


In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Vincent Rotondaro and son Vincent A. Rotondaro and son-in-law John (Jack) Matusek, as well as siblings, Salvatrice (Katie) Ratzin and Carmen Tirone, Christopher Tirone and Nicholas Tirone.


She is survived by her daughter, Alida Matusek, daughter-in-law, Karen Rotondaro and grandchildren; Vincent Rotondaro (Carla), John J. Matusek III (Christine), and Karmen Brown; great-grandchildren, John J. Matusek IV; Thea Josephine Matusek, and Vincent; Nico Rotondaro; sisters-in-law; Mary Schmidt, Helen Fazendin, and Carolyn Tirone, numerous nieces and nephews.


Special thanks to Garrett, her hospice nurse, and the staff at Highland Manor, who took such good care of her.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday December 4, 2025, at 11AM in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes St., Swoyersville.


The Family will receive friends and relatives from 10AM until the time of mass in the church.


Private interment will follow in St. Rocco’s Cemetery.
