Raymond A. Doran, 58, of Pittston, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Born in Kingston on December 16, 1962, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Mary Ward Doran.
Ray was a graduate of Pittston Area High School, class of 1981. He had served in the US Army and had worked at Owens-Illinois.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a brother, James.
Surviving are his daughter, Kristen Vezendy and her children, Juliana and Jonah, Wilkes-Barre; long-time companion, Mary Rose Salerno, Pittston; brothers, Edward Doran (Mary Frances), Pittston; William Doran (Martha), Dupont; John Doran, Philadelphia; Patrick Doran (Mary), Dallas; numerous nieces,
nephews, and cousins.
Ray was a lifelong resident of the Pittston area and had numerous friends. All that knew him will forever remember him as a kind and friendly man, who loved his family and his friends. Ray enjoyed walking and watching the Eagles. He will be in our hearts and minds all the days of our lives.
The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday, September 26, 2021, from 5pm-7pm in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 27, 2021, at 9:30am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William Street, Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church Monday morning. Interment, parish cemetery.
