Rebecca Lynn Valeski

Rebecca Lynn Valeski, 50, of Pittston, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023, in Oak Ridge Rehabilitation and Health Care, Taylor.

Born in Pittston on June 20, 1973, Becky was the daughter of the late Mark and Rosemarie Kepich Valeski.


Becky was a graduate of Seton Catholic High School. She received a bachelor’s degree from Marywood University and a master’s degree from Wilkes University. She was a teacher having worked at Seton Catholic, Pleasant Valley and Pittston Area. When Becky had time off from teaching, she loved to travel.


Becky is survived by her brother, Mark Valeski, West Pittston and his sons, Zachery and Chase; and by her sister, Andrea Valeski, Pittston and her children, Kaliegh, Kiera and Timothy. Also surviving are aunts, Alice Valeski, Florida; Mary Kepich, Wyoming; and Mary Chiarelli and her husband Sam, Pittston; numerous cousins; and her long—time good friend Jill Oliver.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 9:30am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William Street, Pittston. Interment, St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Exeter. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.

I was Becky s kindergarten teacher many years ago! She was always a kind, sweet and intelligent little girl ! A wonderful person and an excellent teacher! What a sad loss ! My thoughts and prayers are with Becky s friends and family especially Jill Oliver and her Aunt Mary and Sam and Mark who were always there for Becky! God bless her! May she Rest in Peace! 🙏❤️🙏
