Richard Gilbert Belza, II, 60, formerly of West Pittston, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023, in Maple Ridge Nursing Home, where he resided.
Born in Kingston on July 25, 1963, he was the son of Arlene Martorana Belza and the late Richard Gilbert Belza.
He was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School, class of 1981 and Luzerne County Community College with a degree in Culinary Arts. He was the owner of Exeter Floral and Gift Shop. Rick also was a freelance floral designer and party planner for many years in New York City.
In addition to his mother, Arlene Martorana Belza, Pittston Township, he is survived by his sister Leandra Hosey and her husband, John, Gilbert, SC; brother, Robert Belza and his wife, Jay, Exeter; nieces, Aubreana Hosey and Nina Belza; nephews, Mario Belza, Lorenzo Hosey, Curtis Hosey and his wife, Meg; great niece, Teigan Hosey and great nephew, Benjamin Hosey
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 6, 2023 at 11am in St. Ignatius Church, 339 N. Maple Avenue, Kingston with Father Joseph Pisaneschi as celebrant. Interment will follow in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
