Robert Edward Myefski, age 74, passed away on August 17, 2024, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre. He was the son of Edward and Regina Kaminski Myefski of Nanticoke.
Robert was a graduate of Nanticoke High School, class of 1967, and King’s College, class of 1971. He then attended Marywood College where he graduated with a master’s degree in counseling.
Robert served as a guidance counselor in the Nanticoke Area School District. He was a sincere and compassionate man. He enjoyed travel, was a sports enthusiast, and was an avid reader of mysteries.
Robert is survived by his brother Edward Myefski and wife Connie, niece Molly Baron and her husband Donald, great-niece Svetlana Baron, and aunt Florence Gorski.
Robert was blessed with many devoted cousins, friends, and neighbors. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Nancy and John Butzek, Karen Chepolis, Jule Noroski, Regina Perrone Mattei and husband Ron LaPorte, and William and Margaret Allabaugh for their love and loyalty to Bob.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 10am in Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea. The family will receive friends and relatives from 9am until time of Mass in the church. Private interment. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, Pittston.
