Robert J. Sentiwany

Robert J. Sentiwany, 88, formerly of White Haven PA, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 30, 2026.


Robert, born in Weatherly on April 16, 1938 was the son of the late Rudolph and Mary Baran Sentiwany. He was a graduate of Weatherly High School, attended Bloomsburg University, and proudly served in the U. S. Army. 


Together with his beloved wife, the late Mary Lou (Holmes) Sentiwany, Robert owned and operated A & A Pro Shop near the Lehigh River for 35 years. Known for his expertise as a fly fisherman, he taught fly fishing, fly-tying, guided anglers across the country, and inspired many with his knowledge and love of the sport. An avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed fly fishing on the Delaware River and in the waters of Montana, creating many treasured memories with his family, close friends, and fellow fishermen.


In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by brothers John “Jackie” and Eugene Sentiwany.


Surviving are his children, John Sentiwany and wife, Jennifer, NJ; Linda Mazula, Wyoming, and Terry Timonte and husband, Greg, Shavertown; grandchildren, William, Brendan and Owen Sentiwany; Michael Mazula and fiancé, Tiffany Gregori; Samantha Mazula Collum and husband, Cody; Donald Searfoss; Justin Timonte and fiancé, Sarah Hayward; great-granddaughter, Penelope Timonte; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and relatives Friday, June 5, 2026, from 9am-11am in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston with a Blessing Service to be held at 11am in the Funeral Home. 


Graveside services will be held at 12:15pm in St. Patrick’s Cemetery on Tunnel Road, White Haven, PA [coordinates 41.07750, -75.79110] where U.S. Army Military Honors will be bestowed.
