Ronald Benjamin Deeble

Ronald Benjamin Deeble, 67, of Dupont, passed away unexpectedly at home Tuesday, October 24, 2023.

Born in Pittston on October 2, 1956. He was the son of the late Melbourne and Grace Casterlin Deeble. Before moving to Dupont, he spent most of his life in Hughestown.

Ronnie was a graduate of Pittston Area High School class of 1974. He retired from working as a tree surgeon for many years for Asplundh and Jaflo Tree Services.

Ronnie enjoyed little things in life but most importantly watching the Washington Redskins football team (although they changed their name they would always be the Redskins to him).

On most days, Ronnie was a man of few words. Although he would never admit it, he loved all the memories made from years of family gatherings. He never realized how much until most of them had left this world to be in a better place. Most recently, he explained life as, “snap your fingers and poof it’s gone”. So, if he could share with you a few last thoughts it would be to not take life for granted.

He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Bruce and Scott, and a brother-in-law Jody Newcomb.

Surviving are his daughter Ashley Deeble, and son Randy Deeble, both of West Pittston. Granddaughters Charlie Deeble and Randi Deeble Pittston, sisters, Linda George, Pittston and Nancy Newcomb, Pittston Township; sister-in-law, Susan Deeble, Shavertown; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends and relatives Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 5-7Pm at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC 251 William Street Pittston.
